Daiwa TD Sol III Spinning Reels

One of the most exciting products we saw at AFTA 2017 was Daiwa’s brand new TD Sol III spinning reels. The new Sol features Daiwa’s new “LT” (Light Tough) concept to suit the new generation of PE/Braided lines. Boasting higher line capacity, higher drag capacity & stronger gearing, “LT reels are smaller, lighter and more powerful”.  The TD Soll III is feature packed, sporting nearly every one of Daiwa’s latest and greatest features including mag seal, zaion, air rotor etc.
I was pretty amazed that these mid range reels were going to be as light as Daiwa’s high end flagship “exist” spinning models, also have higher drag capacity, yet at nearly half the retail price!
Available this November, keep an eye out in all quality tackle stores.

Was wondering wether to hold off purchasing a Luvias 2500 and wait for the new Td Sol instead as the low weight of the Td has got me thinking.

    • Josh Cheong says:

Hi Martin, Personally I would be waiting. Luvias is a great reel, but the Sol 2500 Sol will have 3kg more drag and 35g lighter. No brainer really. Cheers
